ASCII Art Generator

Turn text into large ASCII art banners and block letters.

Free ASCII Art Generator

Turn ordinary text into large ASCII-art banners. Choose from several classic FIGlet fonts and the generator builds block letters out of plain characters — perfect for README headers, terminal output, and code comments.

How to Use

Type your text, pick a font, and the banner appears instantly. Use the width control to set the max line length for wrapping, and copy the result straight into your document. Monospace is required for the art to line up correctly.

  • Six classic banner fonts
  • Automatic word wrapping at a chosen width
  • Copy the banner with one click
  • Renders instantly — nothing is uploaded

What is ASCII art?

ASCII art uses ordinary printable characters to form larger shapes and letters. FIGlet-style "fonts" replace each letter with a small grid of characters so that, when printed in a monospace font, they read as large block text. It predates graphical displays and is still a staple of terminal banners and open-source README files.
